The Coast Casinos properties do the same thing. I stayed at the Orleans about six months ago, before I moved here, and they tacked on a mandatory fee - I believe it was $10 - for Internet access. I don't think a newspaper was part of the deal.

With some many people with Iphones and Blackberry's, why even need internet when you can sync your laptop via bluetooth to your phone and use that. Even better is a cellular 3g wireless card. I dont trust the security of those hotel networks anyways, who knows, someone may have a key logger and steal your passwords and stuff
