I was shocked when I heard this. We were planning on seeing his show on our next trip out there.
Sad news.

Too young to pass----his image was "squeaky clean", in spite of his apparent close ties to S Weinberg. He was an ex-baseball player; and one can only wonder if something about high-level athletics carried into his later life.

This is very sad and, yet, very odd. How does someone in such good shape and health die so young? I would like to know the circumstances of his death.

But he was a phenomenal performer and an extraordinary human being. I met him a few times at various charitable events. He will be missed.

You might be on to something sheriff, this story, along with the fact that an autopsy was already performed and yielded no cause of death pending a TOXICOLOGY REPORT, in today's paper.

Danny was quite "bulked up", wondering as well, if it was something to do with that...

A Clark County coroner's office spokesperson said an autopsy was performed on Gans' body Friday. The cause of death is unknown pending toxicology studies, which could take between two to four weeks.
It will be interesting to see what the coroner determines. The circumstances sound somewhat similar to the 2004 demise of Green Valley Ranch executive Michael Tata . . .
