Got a call from HR 2 days ago to come in for an interview 1 on 1 with a f&b manager
I had my first interview today September 3, 2009. Any applicants had more then 1 interview in one day? drug test? background check? etc

f&b manager who i interviewed with said, Job Offers starts September 15, 2009 for food & beverage and other departments.

I got my first interview at Mandarin Oriental on 08/24 with the the food and beverage director. I applied for a food server position. Interview went great and he told me that the ones chosen will have to meet with the GM. He gave me a time frame of around 2 weeks from the first initial interview. But I got a call that same day from Jessica, the Human Relations Specialist to schedule for a second interview with the GM. I came in to meet with the GM on 08/26. It was like a 10 minute interview, got offered a position at MOzen Bistro. I filled out background check and drug test paperwork and went to get my drug test a day later. They said I will be called in 3 weeks when all my results come in. What position did you apply for?

Hi everyone, this is the first time I am posting.

As far as the background/drug test thing. I got a call in the morning from corporate investigations asking for my W2 and last pay stub for my background check. Which I am guessing is a way to prove I worked at my past/current job. And then two hours later I got a call to come in for my drug test that day or the next. It was very fast.

So I am thinking its which ever order they get to it. But has anyone else been asked to submit thier W2 ect?

Good to hear from you. I applied for a food server position as well.

What was the f&b directors name? or GM, if you rememeber his/her name?

At the end of the interview he hasn't mention anything about the ones chosen will get to meet with the GM 2 week time frame. Didn't get a call from Jessica yet.

All he said was, he is turning in my application to HR, will call me starting September 15 for job offers if they are interested.
Did they tell you the same thing?

That is really good that you've gone through to 2 interviews in a 3 day time frame and drug tested, background checked! Congrats!

Hello. My experience with City Center so far. I applied at 12:05 am the day the website was activated, so I was one of the first to apply for City Center. In Janurary, I had my stand up interview (#1) then later the sit down interview (#2). In spring, (I think April because I was on spring break) I was called and went to do my hair cut drug test...
Now I am waiting for, hopefully, the hiring call back. I applied for Vdara and it was suppose to open in October, but they decided to open all the resorts at the same time in December so Vdara was delayed. I know they are calling people in September and I hope I get a call and job offer.
I have been waiting about a year and didn't attend this fall semester due to my City Center application and conflicts with City Center and school, hours etc... I am trying to stay patient and keep positive.
If anyone has any information that will do me any good on my waiting, please let me know. Thank you.

Light Group is having a job fair for their new restaurants and nightclubs. September 13-14 at the mirage. The 13th is from 1-7 pm. The 14th is from 10 am- 3- pm. It's in event center room c at the mirage. Their hiring for Union Restaurant, Haze Nightclub and The Deuce Lounge. All of these will be at cc, thats why i posted.

Hi CROSNL, I applied for Asst. FD Mgr...Had 2 interviews and drug test and my status is showing blank....And I couldnt get a hold of anyone from cc to follow up.....Have u called them???Im getting nervous, coz seems like a lot of ppl in this group have been called already...

Hey CROSNL,
I'm in the same department, no drug test yet either. I called CityCenter and they said it's just a waiting game. Guess they haven't gotten to our department yet. Fingers crossed!
