I hate the boom cars. I say let me carry a portable missile launcher so i can take care of them the right way.

The funny thing about this is I had many boom cars when I was younger. I even had one car that had boxes in the trunk and a huge box in the backseat. It hit so hard that I could play it outside and it would shake things in my house. My parents, especially my dad, hated it. My father used to tell me "when you get older you are going to hate it too." I disagreed at the time, but now that I am older I can not stand them either. Anymore, I would be happy with a good stereo that was accurate and sounded good, no need to shake any cars and annoy people.

I rarely hear 'boom' cars and I live in Henderson. Just like the last poster, I had a loud system when I was younger. They seem to be around a lot less nowadays. Dont hear them enough to bother me.

I know there are less boom cars, except for my annoying brat neighbor across the street. He still has the booming, plus the loud tailpipes on the back. Those oversized pipes on the cars that make them loud, add that to the booming and you can see why I think they should make it legal for residents to blow those suckers up whenever they hear them. They should make it a law in an HOA.

I like the guys who have the piece of junk cars that rattle along with the bass. Spent more money on the sound system than the car.

I'd like there to be a law against these boom cars, but metro can barely enforce the speed limit and traffic laws; doubt they will be able to enforce loud systems.

there already is a law.....I THINK that it is ticketable if you can hear it 50 feet away from the car.....and they enforce it as often as they enforce speeding and redlight running......

I hear them all the time. I guess if there's any concern as to whether the offender will pay the fine, authorities could always confiscate the offending noisemaker (kind of like taking a teacher taking a toy away from a child in class and giving it back to him after school, or after a meeting with the parents).
