How far from where - ? Far from the east coast but maybe not far from where you are, depending where you are. Hoover Dam is neat and of course so is the Grand Canyon and LV. Would google for attractions in the area, there's probably lots more but only you know what you're interested in and what you have time to see.

Or...at least make a dam effort. I'm sure they have dam maps all over town, like in hotel lobbies where they store tourist brochures. I bet you'll find a dam brochure. If they still give it, take the dam tour...the one that goes inside the dam bowels, to see all of the dam inner workings.

It's damn worth the money.

I've done the shorter dam tour (there's two dam tours) twice - definitely worth it.

Around 300 miles. Of course if I leave from my Mom's house it's around 240 miles.

Visited last week on a Monday. LEAVE EARLY!!!!! We left Las Vegas at 9:45AM and just beat the traffic. Took about 45 minutes to get there. On our way out the incoming line of cars was 3 miles long. Didn't take the tour, just walked around outside and took pictures. Heard some people say they enjoyed the tour.
