This is an incredible forum. I have posted questions that have been answered within minutes by people with insider knowledge. We've been planning to move here since February, and the regulars (although there have been many, ole cap comes to mind due to his easily remembered name and really rapid response times) have always been quick to share whatever info they had.

Although I have an out of state teaching license, I've elected to return to my previous occupation of professional mechanic. (That's not a slam at NV teachers, just the pay scale here.) Judging by the initial response I've had off craigslist for car repair, I have only myself to blame if I am not successful. I'd like to find a commercial location but that will come with time.

Thanks to everybody who has responded in the past to my own and other people's queries. This has been a great site for me because of the willingness of people to get involved and offer constructive ideas. I am renting a house close to the I15 and the M casino in South LV-- any leads on shop space will be greatly appreciated. I'd even consider a partner, although a partner usually leads to eventual grief and downfall.

We love it here so far. Coming from an extremely small island of 100 people and 270 reindeer, I had worried about brash and rude city attitudes. We have been pleasantly surprised--people have been really laid back and friendly. Probably the nastiest tones I've drawn have come from the public school personnel.

Thank you for making this a great resource for people moving to Nevada

Right now commercial property is cheap, I suggest you find a commercial realestate office and have them locate a rental for you there are tons of properties so you shouldn't have any problems.

Good Luck with your new endevor I love Vegas it's hard right now but we will be better off for it.
