Where can I find covered parking for 9 days and take a shuttle to the airport? Anything less expensive than the $14/day at the airport garage?

A taxi or car service from where I live to the airport is $60 plus tip.

You could try parking at a casino at the south end of the strip and then take a taxi (or shuttle if you're really trying to save money) to the airport. Not sure how long it takes for security to notice that a car hasn't been moved though. At some point they'll assume it was abandoned.

If you get there early RTC has a park and ride area for McCarran. There is only about 200 spaces so get there early.

If willing to spend $14 a day I would hire a town car to drop you off and pick you up. You would spend about $60 each way.

The McCarren economy lot is $8 a day (used to be $6). Just follow the signs near the airport that say economy lot. It's a quick shuttle ride (3-5 minutes) to the airport and they have shuttles running pretty much continuously, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a shuttle.

We always park there when we are going to the airport.

I work in the airport parking office. The economy lot is 8 a day and it offers a free shuttle service over to terminal 1. Also here is a secret. Terminal 2 parking for about a month is free. Threy just removed the pay stations and the entry and exit gates because we are installing new equipment there. so for about a month you can park there for free. Walk over to the terminal 2 entrance and take the T2 shuttle over to terminal 1. 14$ a day is a bargain people. Go to California and try to find cheaper parking.

Thanks, I've seen that in aerial view in online maps, but those can be a real hit or miss, so it's nice to see a review of sorts. The one in Albuquerque used to be great, too, and while $14/day may be a bargain, $8/day is even better for those of us who aren't concerned about our car's weathering.

OP specifically asked about covered parking. I suspect he already knew about the economy lot.

I remember when long term parking was only $8/day, and valet was $14. Now that was a bargain. At SJC uncovered long-term parking is $15/day, off-airport uncovered parking is $10/day. Covered parking is charged at the short-term rate which is $30/day last time I checked. So LAS seems like a bargain to me.
