Hello,

So I have decided I want to move in the Summerlin/The Lakes area. I've come across a few apartment complexes, but would like some feedback on them..and maybe even some recommendations if you have any.

What I have come across are:
The Breakers
Allanza at the Lakes
Reflections At The Lakes

So far, I think Reflections looks the best..but, pictures can be deceiving..LOL

Looking to score a 1 bedroom for UNDER $800. Preferably one with washer/dryer, and balcony/patio .. if you find that to be a weird suggestion, it's because around here in south jersey, finding something like that is dang near impossible. It seems that all of these apartments have washer/dryers in unit, as well as patios/balconies.

So, if you have any feedback on the 3 complexes I've mentioned OR can recommend something else, please do.

I've checked Apartment Ratings.com and to be honest, I think people are nuts. I rarely see ANY positive reviews on ANY complex..ANYwhere. I just think people who don't like living amongst people live in apt complexes, and they get mad at everything, LOL. I'm living in one now and I'm fine, so I usually don't mind living with people.

Thanks

i stayed at the resort at the lakes (Las Vegas Nevada Apartments - Home - Resort at the Lakes) for a little over a year. i liked it there, never ran into any problems. little noise. guard gated. 2 separate pools (if you like that sort of thing, i never used it). exercise room. not sure on the price of a 1 bedroom though - i had a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage for $1395. the website has all the contact info, and i think its at least worth checking out.

sorry, don't know anything about the ones you were interested in.

Looks nice, but it's weird that they don't have the prices..which makes me think it's really expensive to live there. And plus, $1395 is waay too much for me. But then again, I don't need 3 bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, and even a garage ... lol

Any idea what the 1 bedroom/1 bathrooms go for?

All three of your choices are good ones. The Lakes area is one of my favorite places in the valley, everything you could possibly want or need is close by and it's proximity to Red Rock Station, The Suncoast and Rampart Casino is great!

You'd be about 15-20 minutes (or less sometimes) to the Strip in any one of those complexes.

Granted, most apartment dwellers ALWAYS have complaints, what bothers some may not bother others, so those reviews you see online are not always accurate. Opinions work that way, so keep that in mind.

Why don't you make a scouting trip here first, so you can see those apartments for yourself?

Remember the golden rule, don't move here with no source of income or a substantial nest egg, you'll be in real trouble if you do.

Otherwise, I think you'd love it here!

Much, much good luck to you!

Awesome. We are planning a trip here in February (for pleasure and for research). We also can't get here to move UNTIL Nov 2010 because of our current lease, so there's plenty of time to save. Ontop of the fact that my BF's previous job he has like $8,000+ in profit sharing..so that's going to help out a lot.

Thanks
