Who can tell me more about the residences at City Center? Due to open Dec 09, I believe? I have perused all their websites. Am interested in the Vdara. First, how does one pronounce, "Vdara?" Secondly, does anyone have any idea where to find the prices for these luxury condos? Or do I need to employ a real estate agent to do my checking for me?

Thank you for any insight as to Vdara and any other City Center information.

An interesting conundrum. The price line in Vdara et al is at around 800 or 900 per SF at the moment. There are lots of units available and there will likely be more. One expects VDara will prove difficult to close.

Present trends would indicate that the property cannot sustain such a price.

Then again it is the "condo-hotel" in the ultimate development...so who knows.

If however you have a good sum of money sitting idle that you would like to put into a really neat place...go for it. I suspect it will pay a good part of its cost....though not all. And you get the ultimate place on the strip...

Got to be the ultimate second home...

Vdara is a really beautiful condotel, anyone purchasing a unit would be in the middle of all the excitement, owning a unit at Vdara or any condo at CityCenter you get extra privileges. Like seats to the shows, and dining ect. Condotels are having more issues of all the highrise properties due to the higher costs for HOA's and most owners don't see a profit. It seems most people purchase a condotel in Vegas now to use a vacation homes and like the option to put it in the rental pool.

If you like more of a condo than a condotel might not work for you. You might want a condo at Veer Towers for instance:

Veer Towers

One bedroom unit 905 9th floor approximately 815 Sq Ft @ $561,000 Full Strip View

One bedroom unit 3105 31st floor approximately 1015 Sq Ft @ $703,000 North View

Two bedroom unit 1608 16th floor approximately 1270 Sq Ft @ $905,000 North View

Vdara

One bedroom corner unit 17001 17th floor approximately 847 Sq Ft @ $815,000 South View (Aria hotel & Resort)

If you would like more information DM me I have access to pricing and availability at CityCenter, or any highrise property in Las Vegas.

If you decide to go for it, just please don't claim 'bad luck' on the timing as another poster here does, and then walk away from the condo.
