Personally, I think you ought to go to Excalibur. It's more kid-friendly and has an arcade downstairs to keep the brats busy for a while (if they're old enough to be set loose) and a skyway connects Excalibur to the NewYork NewYork if you need to get some grown-up time. Excalibur is also on the outer edge of the main strip, making getting in and out easier. Circus Circus is nice to visit, but I really don't like the place. I might have watched It too many times...

I think everyone missed the part where he said the kids were five and seven. Kids that young can't be left alone anywhere in Las Vegas. Besides, at that age they can lose interest pretty fast too, so they need more to do than just Circus Circus or Excalibur. Mom will need something to do too while dad is in meetings. Fortunately we have plenty to do here.

Well, true, you can't let them loose without supervision, but it is a good way to waste a bit of time before you move on to other things. If Mom isn't involved in the business aspect, she's got to do something with them, and it acts as a great bribe for good behavior.
