IKEA lot is still vacant and not much activity but the surrounding area is buzzing with construction. An office/commercial building, more apartment homes and single family homes going up next to the IKEA site. More photos below.

That was supposed to be Durango Station, but there's no news on the construction since 2008.

I believe all those casino developments in the past planned for the area are not coming to fruition any time soon. Most of the construction in the area are for homes/apt/offices/retail and car dealerships. As far as the UFC Global HQ, I still have not seen any dirt movements.

I have a Shake Shack two blocks from my apartment. I think I've had a burger there once. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. Any good diner server a better burger, the price is probably equivalent, and you get table service.

Their ice cream is good, though, if over priced.
