I hear ya. I like to do landscapes and macro. Speaking of which, here's a bee from the wetlands park here in town enjoying all the blooming plants.

Thanks. Yeah, it's an average DSLR. The great thing is that I've figured out how to do macro without an expensive macro lens.

Cell phones take marginally good pictures, even the best....when i go anywhere i carry a Canon EOS and at LEAST two zoom lenses....but then I made my living doing photography for many years.

I love photography. I have many cameras. But I still stick to my thesis that most tourists to LV or anywhere would enjoy their time more if they leave the big hulky bulky DSLRs at home. I cringe every time I see people on the Strip or walking through a casino floor with a dslr in hand.

Or course if you're there because photography is your living or you have an "assignment" or mission to capture something that's different. Most everyone else would have a much better time using the camera on their iphone in their back pocket.
