While it is sad, at least the casino will still be open.

Hopefully their downtown sister property will pick up some of the employees from the layoff.

I'm looking for the true picture, MomMom...on a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best)...how would you rate the current Las Vegas economy? From my vantage point, I only hear and see what the media portrays...but I'm very skeptical of media accuracy...as they want to paint it as worse as it could be.

My wife and I were just in Atlantic City for the Thanksgiving Day weekend...and the casinos were surprisingly crowded. Honestly, I expected more of a lull.

We stayed all weekend at the Palazzo, it was very crowded and very nice. We had our family of 6 all in a suite.
I was surprised I thought I could see the strip one time not crowded. I thought I could find a parking spot with no problem. etc, etc, etc
The area conecting the Palazzo and the Venetian is beautiful. Do they change it with the seasons?

Just curious, don't you live in Vegas? I always thought you did. I am only asking because of this post.

I was just reading about AC on a gambling forum I frequent, and everyone here said it was dead and gone. This is current too.

I bought a home in Vegas in March, I had expected it to be ready by now. It is not and we already had plans for family coming to visit. It was a truly awesome experiance to have the suite and all spend time in the room together. We got the suite for free for some reason. I guess they know I am a bad gambler?

It has leveled off and there was an 8% increase in gaming revenues from this quarter last year. The problem is that the resorts have really scaled down their operations still leaving allot of displaced industry workers waiting for employment.
