I'm still not sure yet what to do. So I'd better figure it out soon since tomorrow is NYE. Maybe you should post a "What did you do for NYE" thread after this one.

Well 2 of my friends from Phoenix are coming in tomorrow, and they have talked me into going to the strip with them. I really do not want to go. They close down all the liquor stores, and will not even let you have cans either. I personally would rather stay home.

Not the kind I want. What they do is close all the liquor stores, and sell only regular beer that is WAY overpriced in front of them. The 7 elevens will only sell regular beer in plastic bottles, and they mark them up like 3 times what they normally are. It is a big rip off. It I like to drink those Four Lokos (12%), so I am SOL.

This is the first time in years that I've been alone on NYE. Usually just a couple of friends and a couple bottles of champagne! This year I'll play a computer game -- Spooky Manor -- and just let the hours go by.

Best wishes to all of you for the New Year! May you keep all of your resolutions! Mine is to never pay late fees again . . . can you imagine that I do that???

Is that followed up with a dip in the cement pond?

I've never been to the Strip for NYE, but is there any reason why you couldn't purchase your preferred libation in advance and then bring it with you for you and your friends to quaff while you enjoy the fireworks?

Nope, they will not even allow you to carry bags or backpacks either. They are going to have plain clothes officers checking people. I do not advise going to it anyways, but if I do not go, I will not get see my friends.

All right! That's what I want in my NYE celebration! To be ripped off, searched, ordered around, and deprived of any means of autonomy! Sheesh, I'd probably have more fun spending tonight flying out of an airport.
