It almost ruins the strip view as it is completely out of place. If I want to see downtown Chicago or Dallas, I'll go there. Wynn is also pretty boring. Without a theme, these resorts should be built somewhere else.
Unfortunately (for you anyways) vegas will be moving away from the themed casinos. Now they are building ultra modern looking places. You guys did not like Crystals at all?

I would think it will be more than five years before anyone considers another major project. Maybe finish off the stuff that is partially up...but I would be surprised at anything else.

The doldrum years are underway.

A few people on this thread have said they tried to take pictures of different things at City Center, and security yelled at them to not take pictures. I also remember someone on this forum saying he almost got kicked out for taking pictures, after they told him a few times not to take photos.

Did they change the rule? If not, why can't you take pictures, it's so weird.

Well, that's true enough. I am going off some of the proposed projects that were on the horizon just four years ago. Things like the Plaza project, Echelon and fountainbleu.

I suppose all bets are off for what they might do in the future. Some of these projects are supposedly still on hold, whatever that means.

Was it before it was finished? You were not allowed to take pictures during construction.

Oh!!!

You are never really supposed to take pictures inside the casino. No photos of the casino floor itself, they do not allow photos in any casino that I am aware of.

The reason is pretty simply, they are respecting their clients privacy.

I think it was pictures of the art all around the City Center and the fountain. You can't take pictures of that. And I think he said something about not being able to take pictures of the items in the windows like watches and suits. IDK for sure. But if you say you can take them, then you know best cause I'm not there now.

I just stayed at the MGM last weekend and watched a guy get yelled at for video recording but was told that he could take pictures.

My friend and I was just at City Center a few days ago on the way to the Cosmopolitan and I was able to take photos. This was during the night. I took photos of the functional art pieces in front of the waterfall at Aria, the sculpture fronting Crystals and inside the mall. I like City Center, definitely world class!!!

The Bond @ Cosmopolitan is great, drink prices went up compared to when they first opened. It was $5 a bottle of beer, imports @ $6 and now it is $7 but worth it. Great atmosphere and great music.

I think Aria is doomed to fail. Too dark. We went there when it first opened, didn't even gamble because it is so dark and uninviting. We get offers for discount rooms. lol You couldn't pay me to stay there.

Cosmopolitan allows you to take pictures in the casino, except for the cage.
