Can anyone tell me why all of a sudden I can't click on a link on this forum. I also can't go to another site while this one is open. Any tips?

I have had a similar issue in the past few days.

Usually closing your browser and opening a new one works for me

This is the bane of the omniprescence of God. You can't hide from him.

You must have done something naughty, recently, that caught the eye of God and he's just having a few good laughs, at your expense. Think really, really hard at your behavior the past few days, did you do something, or think something that angered him?

A heartfelt act of contrition will get you right back on track in record time, better and cheaper than calling the Geek Squad.

I have had similar problems. Always occurs on those weeks when I got lazy and didn't go to church on Sunday.

LOL!

I read about this on Slashdot. You downloaded a trojan from a porn site. Admit it.

THanks I'll try that. It's better than saying Hail Marys and holding my mouth just right.

But I'll say some Hail Marys too even though I'm not Catholic. And I'll hold my mouth just so. And I'm pretty sure my computer is on, because I'm looking at porno.

Best three things you can do to keep malware out of your browser:

1) Use firefox
2) Use ad-block plugin (blocks more than just ads - lots of malware gets blocked too)
3) Use noscript plugin (blocks javascript except for sites you whitelist - all recent browser vulnerabilities are associated with javascript)

Noscript will be a PITA at first because a lot of web-designers are super-lazy and use javascript for things that could be better done without javascript. But once you white-list a couple of crucial sites and then adopt the mindset that badly designed websites do not deserve your patronage, you will be pretty much care-free on the net with the added benefit that a lot of websites will load 2x-10x faster because of all the unnecessary crap that's been filtered out for you.

And therein lies the problem. Porn sites are known for being loaded with malware and spyware. Seems the urge to look is greater than the fear of losing control of the computer.
