Such an amazing builder to add all the little extra things that give that house extra wow. I especially liked the stairway, the clever way he left the niche next to them and the frosted glass windows between the bedroom and bathroom keeping privacy but adding more light.
Thanks for the compliments on the house. I was told by the listing agent that the builder won some home building design award for that model back in 1988 or 89 (Homer Award?).

It must have been lost in the mail because I remember sending it. I remember because when I licked the stamp it was an Obama pic and at first I spit on the wrong side. I'll make it up to you with a Valentine.

Another thing I have had a problem with in Las Vegas homes is the lack of molding I am accustomed to and I am comparing comtemporary house to contemporary house. I am used to seeing windows and doors that are completely framed out inside with big thick decorative molding that is then usually painted white.
I do believe that most of the time molding is an upgrade, and maybe people don't like it that much, or think they'll get in the house and do it themselves someday...but "someday" never comes.

Many, if not most, older homes around here have low ceilings and the cabinets are flush with them. It used to be thought that because of the heat houses should be dark and dreary, with less cubic feet of space to cool. Now they are more open with high ceilings. Our Pueblo style has different heights in each room, with semi-flat roofs. The living room is well over 20 feet high. I've measured it but forgot exactly.

Nice place MMOB. You's got class. Love the painting and especially the pool and landscaping.

Your place is nicer, and bigger, than ours, but we really like this house. Here is an old slide show. A lot has changed and been added since this. http://www.erealtyweb.net/tours/slid...2&style=custom

Wow, another really nice house. I especially loved those authentic beams and the tile floors. If your wife ever finds out you have had a break in and the only things missing are her two reddish chairs with the vine print, don't let her come to my house. LOL.

That looks like Taos Estates in the Northwest side of town.

MMOB - Beautiful house. That home did win a Homer award way back when. Spanish Trail ate up the awards for their Links and Carmel series homes. The floating staircase and rotunda is the most beautiful room in the house.

Hope you got a steal!

Yes, it is in Spanish Trail. Which is great because I can hop in my car, drive out of the development, turn right on Tropicana, and in 5.83 miles I am at the intersection of Tropicana and L.V. Blvd. with a choice of poker rooms.

Thanks, Buzz, but I can't take credit for the painting or for planting the landscaping (or for having any class for that matter ). The painting belongs to the current (and soon to be ex) owner. We have our own art collection that we will be bringing out to Vegas, but we are purchasing some of the furniture in the virtual tour along with the house. I especially liked the living and dining room furniture and furnishings.

And you've got yourself a very nice place too. And very nicely furnished as well.
