Hello, and thank you yet again for all the advice! This forum has literally been my lifeline since I moved to Vegas!!!
I am looking for a nice chinese restaurant - as close to the North East (like NYC) chinese as one can find here in LV. Can anybody recommend a specific restaurant? I've been to a few, especially around the Chinatown area, but so far, the experiences have been really disappointing

You can try Food Express, 2003 S. Decatur, (702) 870-1595. I don't know what you consider "nice" but it is authentic Chinese food and very good.

There is a restaurant on Ft. Apache called "New York Chinese" which claims to have NY-style Chinese food. I think it's between Flamingo and Desert Inn.

I can't personally vouch for it - - yet - - but Man vs. Food went to Hot N Juicy Crawfish on Spring Mountain Rd. as part of its Las Vegas episode, and the place looked great. I also looked at yelp, and there are 125 individual ratings there with an average rating of four stars (on a scale from 1 to 5). So, it is definately a place that I'm going to check out when I move here in a couple of weeks. Here's a link to yelp:
