You mean since your last post two weeks ago? Yeah, the construction industry has completely turned around since then....

Sorry I wasn't posting about what time I should go to the DMV or how I should walk away from my house...

There are new homes being built and sold in the south Mountain's Edge area I live in. Definitely more activity than a year ago.

That would be AWESOME!

It needs to go to Phoenix also though. I guess Rome wasn't built in a day either though.

What is going on in the empty lots on the north side of the Strip around the Circus - it looks like construction equipment is there, or is it just sitting idle?

Work is stalled in Summerlin as well with just a few small projects. Outlook from my perspective, is probably a couple years out before we see things start to improve. You can pick up a great house for great $$ though

A super rich Chinese guy wants to build a forbidden city casino on the strip.

If both things come true, it will definitely help the construction industry.
I always wondered why there wasn't an asian-themed casino-resort here. Seemed pretty obvious since every other culture and locale has been turned into one.

I assumed it was because folks didn't want to offend the Asian gamblers that come here. It's one thing to have a phony Eiffel tower, no one cares about offending the French sensibilities. I figured that it was different when it came to attracting Japanese and Chinese tourists. But maybe someday it will happen?
