Sales can be rewarding and fun. After all, everyone is selling something.

However, you need to have a legitimate product and company to work for. An awful lot of these places are very questionable and if they ALWAYS have jobs available, in these hard times, that should tell you there's a serious problem.

Yes, these boiler rooms do attract the dregs of society. They pay daily. It's sort of like donating plasma for money. You can do it if you are desperate enough.

I have heard a few stories that the person who makes the most commission gets their ass beat down and their money taken on the bonus payday.

Just curious, what do telemarketers tell their children they do for a living? Do they tell them they do something respectable, like "I run an adult bookstore"?

Singular solutions is a joke. They claim that u can make a 1000 a week but everyone makes about 200 which is less than minimum wage. The owner is an unprofessional racist doutche bag. The work environment is horrible. The headsets are old and busted and so are the chairs.

national business supply is another bad one, off decatur and russell, I learned that lesson the hard way. The upside was they paid a decent hourly and pay day was every friday, it helped keep me afloat financially until I was fired for not selling.

I did Hilton Grand Vacations for a short while too, a much classier place than national business supply for sure, but it still sucked. If I really wanted constant rejection, I'd be trying to hit on chicks right now

I did Easter Seals and political polling as a telemarketer for 3 whole months when I was 16 yrs old. At the end of the third month only two other employees had been there longer than me. This was with a staff of 50.

It was a job that was easy to hate. I went on to work at Jiffy Lube and that was a huge step up, LOL.
