You equate the Strip with Las Vegas itself.

Secondly, I'm a little confused. Three days ago you posted that you were moving to San Diego and wanted advice on where to live. One of the respondents recommended Encinitas to you. Now, you come here and say that you're leaving Encinitas (boy, that was a quick move!) to move to Vegas.

Even more interesting is that you say that you have no children, but two months ago you posted that you were moving to Hawaii and that you had two daughters.

So, if you want help from the board members here, I would suggest that you first be honest with us.
Thread should've ended right here.

Default Hi Jack...

The thread is dead...long live the thread.

For the arty types who lust after nature and walking the dogs on the beach I don't think any of the developments work...too Yuppie.

You want to get out into one of the residental enclaves. Lone Mountain is my favorite probably because I live there...but there are a number including various price ranges.

Mostly these are Clark County island that have been trapped into the growing Las Vegas. They start at half an acre and go up to the tens or more. Some are set on the hillside and have dramatic city/strip views.

They generally lack improvements...no sidewalks...no street lights. They are generally quiet and safe.

The down side is that they are free form. Pretty much build what you want...and people have.

But given a nice acre or 2 and 1/2 you can do what you will...and not care about what the neighbor does...

Sounds like you should stay in California...Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown needs your support.

It also sounds like you are suffering from the fantasy version of Las Vegas that you probably got from the movies or TV. Actually, Las Vegas is pretty much like SoCal in many ways (although it kills me to say that).

You say you are anti-Las Vegas but you don't say why you have such an opinion.

Did it ever occur to you that we are anti anyone who is anti-Las Vegas?

I haven't looked for your posts, but if what MMofB says is correct ─ you need to move to Sparks, NV...not Las Vegas. They have just the facility for people like you.
