We watched it on the computer, would love to watch more but it is $7 a game to watch...Love the Wranglers..I do remember, hard to believe, the $1 beer nights...My son cheers for them to score 5 so everyone can get a taco, even though he does not get one..I forgot to mention that spring training baseball is only 4 hours away, the only real way to see a baseball game..San Diego is also close with its many treasures of amusement..

BTW: This drives me CRAZY!!! And I see it all the time. I even hear people say it on TV...news anchors and such.

"Me and a couple of friends are moving...?" UNLV student???

It should be, "A couple of friends and I are moving." Always put the other party(ies) first, and remember, "Me is moving" is how it would sound without adding the friends.

I hear "Me and my wife (or husband, or boyfriend, or girlfriend)" all the time. If I ever said about my wife, "me and her" she'd probably leave me.

She's not nearly as forgiving as Tiger's wife.

ya but its the internet n all. I don't really pay attention to grammar when it comes to internet posts. Plus I think it just sounds cheesy to use proper grammar when posting on internet sites. Anyways, that's beside the fact. Thanks everyone for the advice.

Just one more service I provide.

Sorry Alaska, I didn't mean to embarrass anyone. It's just one of those finger nails on the blackboard things to me.

You'll like Las Vegas, but I bet you miss the scenery in Alaska.

It is one of the many conveniences in Las Vegas for locals, as we are able to take advantage of all the entertainment too at our leisure. But when you live here, most people only go to the Strip now and then. There is no getting around the fact that there are casinos available for locals as well as tourists all over town, but there is more to them than partying, gambling, and drinking. Every casino will have several restaurants, and multiple showrooms. Many have bowling and movie theaters and ice skating rinks. When you Google Las Vegas, of course you'll get mostly hits for things that are tourist related. If you Google the kind of activity that you are mostly interested in you'll find that too. For instance ─ Google Biking Las Vegas...or antiquing Las Vegas...or church socials Las Vegas. Whatever, you'll get past the touristy stuff if you look.

Just keep in mind that 1½ million people didn't move here in a short two decades just to gamble and party. This has been covered ad infinitum on this forum, but generally, most people live here for all the conveniences we have over most cities, and all the great things there are to do here in town as well as (relatively) nearby. You'll just have to go on faith at first until you see for yourself.

You won't be shut-in during winter like in Alaska, but you might feel shut in during summer when it gets super hot. Depends on you. The heat might bother you a lot, but it doesn't really stop anyone from doing what they want to do. Personally, I don't feel that weather is a good reason to live in Las Vegas, and I've enjoyed living here for most of my life. Most people enjoy the weather here. Except for October, I think it sucks year round. But it sure beats 99% of the rest of the country 100% of the time.
"I think it sucks year round. But it sure beats 99%of the rest of the country 100% of the time"......freekin priceless
