Does anyone have any info about the Alexis Park Resort? I recently found out it is a non-gaming casino - how far is the nearest casino? Thanks for any/all info!

It's literally across the street from the Hard Rock, no more than a five-minute walk door to door.

Sorry, I should have said or rather typed "non-gaming" facility! Please forgive me! Having said that - the advertisement lists it as a restful, peaceful hotel, just wondering if it was a nice facility.

I've not stayed there, but I've eaten in the Gardens restaurant there and took a walk to the hotel area in the back. It seemed nice, and "restful, peaceful" seems accurate. There were three swimming pools, if I remember correctly.

Haven't been there since going to a big wedding years ago. The TV station where I worked had a trade-out there and we'd go for lunch now and then too. Anywhooo. It was pretty nice then. Looks peaceful, but it's in a noisy part of town. BUTTTTTT...if I didn't live here, and visited, I think I'd really consider staying there; although if I had my druthers on where to stay and there was no rate consideration, I'd pick Mandalay Bay, or Bellagio.

I recently went to a comedy show there. This is not a "high end" property. I think it is safe & clean - but I doubt it would be called luxurious. For the right price it would be fine.

Before some of the Marriott properties opened, the Alexis Park was a non-gaming property that marketed itself to businessmen and other groups wanting to avoid the casinos.

Most of the recent comments that I have heard is that the place has gotten pretty run down.

I stayed there about a year and a half ago. Nice place, rooms were good sized (would be suites on the strip) with seperate tv/sitting area and bedrooms and even a little kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. We were off the road a little so it was relativly quite, but the road out front is literally littered with hookers all the time.
