But it sucks when you gotta get up and shower and the air on the other side of those blankets is cold. I can see the excuses for being late to work already.

I dont use the heater either in the winter until i get up in the morning. I set my thermostat timer to come on 30 mins before I get up. Then I have a little space heater to keep me warm when I get out of the shower. My winter electric bill for a 3bd/2 bath house (1300 sqft) is 50 bucks, my gas is about $60. My summer electric bill is 160-180 (thermostat at 78 24-7) gas is about 18-25 bucks.

in fact, i actually dont mind the cold weather. atleast in the cold, just wear a nice jacket or sweater and a beanie and youll be fine. but if its hot, even if you walk out stark naked, its still hot. so i guess i cant complain about the cold weather. oh and those portable heaters are a big help if you ever need it !

I'm the other way around. In Wyoming last winter, we got to -40 with a wind chill of 75 below. It doesn't matter what you wear, it is just COLD. I have been out all day riding my dirtbike in Tempe when it was 112 and I did just fine. We went through about 5 gallons of water between 4 of us that day at the track. I would much rather be in the heat than the cold. The only cold I like are powder days at the resorts. Nothing beats fresh pow.
