Hi!

I just moved here from Minneapolis.

I was expecting warm weather and sun and I still have on jeans and a sweatshirt!

I know you all are probably enjoying these cool months before the hot summer, but is it always so windy in the spring?

Every once in a while we get a windy spring, summer, fall, winter...windstorm out of nowhere.

It's the desert, it's what happens sometimes..

I have been here about 15 years. Some windy times in the spring are standard but this year is exceptional. I think both NV and CA have had a very cool and stormy spring. Give it another two weeks though and you will wish for a nice cool day. When it turns it does so with a vengance.

I would also note that the one thing that surprised us about the LV weather was the wind.

That wind you are feeling is just the illegal aliens running from arizona through nevada to california.

On a serious note, my dad who has lived here for 20 years says it's fairly normal for this amount of wind. Every time it is this windy my allergies go crazy though.

one of the weathermen on tv said so far this doesnt even rank in the top ten most windy Aprils. the one thing that surprises me , though, is this is the latest in the Spring i can remember that we still have winter type cold fronts coming through knocking the temps back down 20/25 degrees.

We always have unusually windy weather in the Springtime except when we have unusually calm weather in the Spring; it's just like when we have unusually hot weather in winter, except when we have unusually cold weather in winter.

Spring is windy everywhere. At least we don't have tornadoes like the Midwest is having. It is coming later this year though. Shud be hot by now, just before it gets hotter than he**.
