Im a single mama of 2 boys under the age of 6. I am planning on moving there in the near future to finish my degree at UNLV..where would the best place or some options in locations to live so that its easier with my schooling and theirs if possible???

Depends on what you can afford, and how far you're able to drive. There are options near UNLV, but there are lots of bad areas to watch out for too. I imagine you have time constraints with all that going on. Will you also be working? Will you have a sitter? I admire you for what you're doing. More than I could handle.

i will have my own transportation and both my kids will be in school and hopefully i can get a job near by...i just want to know what areas are the ones to avoid esp with young kids that i am raising...

Price is a pretty good indicator of the type of neighborhood here. If something is really cheap, it's probably in a bad area. There are bad areas all over, many of them near the Stratosphere.

There is a thread of this type started at least once a week. I'd suggest reading through the advice contained in some of the older threads and then coming back with more specific questions. There are people on here with lots of knowledge that could help you, but they get tired of repeating the same thing week after week and will likely not bother to respond unless it is clear that you have already done your homework.
