I have always lived in the SW and SE for its ease of access to most of the City. I'd say you can't go wrong with the Jones location, its a newer area and very centrally located. Unless you get work up there or make friends who live there you'd probably have little reason to go to the NW. I have been out towards Ann Road and the 95 probably five times in ten years, there just isn't any reason to go that way. But within 5 miles of the Jones location is the southern end of the Strip, the outlet mall, the airport, Town Square, lots of potential jobs on the southern side of the airport and pretty much all the retail, food and entertainment you will need.

maybe i will understand one day when i own a home

i've received several other calls from people wanting to rent rooms to me. Including one man who wanted to rent his 1 bedroom 1 bath condo in Green Valley for $400, all to myself. That wouldn't be long term though as he is trying to do a short sale on it

Another has a place near Alexander and Lamb by Nellis Air Force Base. It's in a much older development but the house is very well kept according to the man's pictures. Does anybody know about this area of North Las Vegas?

I actually looked at the house on google street view, looks decent. I don't like the location. either. I think I'm going to take the house in the NW by 95 and Ann Road

I'm going with my gut feeling on this, along with advice from everyone else. I understand I will be a bit further from the Strip but thats ok, it's convenient to 95, 215, Summerlin Parkway, and tons of other stuff I cant think of at the moment

Thanks for all your advice guys you rock
