We moved to Centennial Hills about a month ago and love it. Mt Charleston is about 20 minutes away and Red Rocks about 30. It has more of a small town feel with easy access to world-class entertainment and restaurants.

For about a month I search on city-data and read ALL threads. What I got was: Las Vegas - don't move, Phenix is better, loosers from LA are moving here, schools sucks, crime high, no jobs, people rude, hard to make friends, very hot, wind, polution and so on ...

Thank you all. Light in the tunnel. ufff

Roxanya, I thought your husband already accepted a position in Las Vegas???

Perhaps you should try to bump up your trip out to Vegas so you can see for yourself what the city is like and put your mind at ease.
