Definitely approvable, as long as you have the money for the uni fees and living (you can only work limited hours on campus). First, you need to be accepted as a student by the university. They will then fill out some paperwork (I-20) for you.

First, you need to apply to a university and be accepted. Once you are accepted, the university will sent you an acceptance letter along with some forms which you use to apply for a student visa at your embassy. First and foremost, the embassy will want to know if you can meet the financial requirements. Once you have the visa (F-1, I believe) you will be free to travel to the US and stay as long as your visa is valid or until your course of study ends.

You can obtain a fiancé visa if you plan to marry within 90 days of arriving in the US. That information is also on the USCIS website:

We cannot tell you for sure whether they will approve the visa or not. Usually, having a sponsor is fine without them putting money in your bank account. However, they may see your fiance sponsoring you as circumventing immigration rules as he is your fiance and presumably you want to get married. The F1 (student visa) is not dual intent and does not allow you to immigrate/ stay in the USA past your studies. So, the K1 fiance visa STT Resident mentioned above may suit your needs better, and the embassy may want you to apply for that instead.
