According to several sources, the rate of Mexicans coming into the US is declining, while the rate of Puerto Ricans coming into the US is on an upswing.
As you can see, I've provided countless sources. Hopefully, these trends continue. Rates of other Hispanic groups have largely remained stable for the most part.
OP, when you copy and paste the sources you also have to insert them into a box made by clicking on the 4th icon from the right--the blue earth with (what always looks to me like) a paper clip. That should turn each one into a clickable link.
Puerto Ricans are already Americans -- a Puerto Rican moving from Puerto Rico to Texas is not so different than someone moving from Florida to Texas. There is really no evidence that immigration from Mexico is down. It's not as though border agents now just sit and count the illegals as they come across, supposedly they don't see them, nor do they ask the national origins of those using fraudulent border crossing cards.
Very likely there are also large numbers of Central Americans besides Mexicans now coming over illegally.
Immigration isn't down but many Mexicans now have relatives here who can sponsor them to come legally which makes it easy to come. Plus they are given the border crossing cards which allow them to drive on over and then overstay the visa.

Yes, Puerto Ricans are US citizens by birth. But PR is still a US territory and were still a hispanic group and looked at as a unique ethnic group.
Migration from PR is at all-time highs ,while immigration from mexico is down. u dont even have to look at gov't sources on the internet to see this, just go outside and travel. Though im not too sure of a difference of immigration from other hispanic countries.
Good theres too many mexicans in the united states anyway. And its good to see my Puerto Rican brothers on the verge of taking over the east coast similar to how mexicans did out west.
How? Between "marrying out" AND low birthrates; Puerto Ricans are fading out as a separate group. I've known several anglo white AND Black people who were of part PR family.
Dominicans: their ladies; even tho many are straight "Black" in looks, they'll ONLY marry and have babies with light skin anglo white dudes because of their own white supremacy attitudes, which is pretty damn sad IMHO.
The numbers of both groups are significantly impacted by the following traits, which limit their numbers and influence in the states:
1. Criminal inclination, gang activity, drugs, violence, and problems with the law.
2. High incarceration rates because of 1.
3. High mortality rates because of 1.
4. No respect for education and no focus on attaining high academic achievement as a matter of course.
5. Poor diet, which contributes to elevated health problems and high mortality.
6. Poverty, because of 1, 2, 3, 4.
7. Racial discrimination which leads to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
8. Gentrification which leads to 7.
9. Conservative policies which leads to 1-8.
10. The preference for STEM subjects and H-1Bs.
that face is going to change a LOT more in about 2 years. As in where that face IS. Cause at least half of them aint gonna be in the US anymore. it's going to be made a FELONY to be here illegally. that's where we have to start, and it's going to have a tremendous effect, just watch. given the choice of a BIG 'pollo" tattoed on their forehead or 2 years in a tent city, most will choose the tattoo and then have to go home.
Dream on, dude.
