You might verify with INS but if you're supposed to go by June, I would think that's what you should do because being here illegally will compromise your ability to be here legally later.

If you came in legally, you don't have to leave the country to adjust status.

I'll suggest you contact a competent immigration lawyer to help you file your application.

Getting out of the country would be easy if it's really an emergency. But getting in the US without the green card will be hard entrance. You will have to wait for your green card mailed at your US home or a letter form US immigration that you got approved to get to US soil. You somehow overstayed the tourist visa (I discussed this at the top) and might get years of ban to enter US. They might look at that when you enter the US since it's tighter to get in the US because of the 9/11 incident. Your 10 year green card can be revoked if found out you overstayed a tourist visa even by 1 month. If you stay here in US, it's less strict to wait for the green card. I suggest get the green card number or card first to be in the safe side.

Man... I don´t think the welcome wagon is going to be too kind with you. I don´t know if what you are commenting is true or not, but surely you are gonna start a turmoil here.

Let me get popcorn and a soda... this is going to be interesting

Cheers!

Sounds like Daniloii is a scammer doesn't he/she? Bad english and is becoming a lawyer? Somehow I don't think so... just looking at what he/she type, seems to be a Nigerian sales pitch...

I can get you a very good response, but it will take more time for me to type it and I'm busy. If I'm a scammer, I should try asking money like the Nigerian scam, but I don't. (Contractions like don't is not acceptable in English grammar.) I don't like to pressure myself of getting this blog so perfect since I get paid nada. It's not getting published anywhere like the news wherein I get paid writing it. It's a blog and my way to express my freedom of speech. I'm not graded like in school, so it's just right to release all the bad English grammar, mechanics, paragraph cohesion here. When I write in school, it's completely different of course. Go get your pop corn and soda all you want. You readers here are not sure if I'm to be trusted or not. Am I lying or not lying? You don't know me whether I'm a hacker of this id or not. It's natural for people to deny something if there is no hard evidence. That law firm is not my law firm and it's just an example. I like to unwind all the random ideas I just can't say everyday. More words means more mistakes. Resident Evil 5 is on Game Stop for reservation. Something like that. It's not a mental problem, but for me my way to relieve stress and to say words I can't say. The internet is full of impostors and fraud. The US system of immigration is broken. For example,
Soldier Becomes US Citizen
Fifteen years ago, Juan Escalante illegally entered the US when he was 4 years old. After graduating from high school, at age 18, he enlisted in the US military by using a fake green card he bought for $50. He signed up for a four-year tour of duty. Private Escalante was then shipped off to Iraq.

Illegal immigrants are not eligible to be US soldiers. An illegal immigrant who is caught fraudulently serving in the US army is normally discharged. The military discovered Escalante’s illegal status while he was deployed in Iraq, and decided that he would better serve America as a US citizen than as a deported immigrant.

There are currently 37,000 non-citizens in the US military. About 3,000 of these servicemen are green card holders who have served in Iraq. Many illegal immigrants go unrecognized in the US military, and immigrations officials say they have naturalized others in the military who have illegally entered the country.

An executive order signed by President Bush on July 3, 2003 allows for expedited naturalization for immigrants in active duty during the war in Afghanistan. Over 13,000 military personnel have submitted citizenship applications under the order.

Private Escalante successfully passed his citizenship exam and was naturalized on February 11. He serves with the First Brigade of the army’s Third Infantry Division and expects to head to Korea next month and then to return to Iraq.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I think your husband may have married you just to stay in the country.

1) BIG red flag: He didn't tell you he was illegal before he married you. Inexcusable.

2) SMALL red flag: He told you that the post office "lost" his passport. Not likely.

It sounds to me like he's a liar and a manipulator. If I were you, I would divorce him.

Brazil is very nice. If you love him, you will go home with him.
