Immigrants are entitled to interpreters we must pay for, free ESL classes. Immigrants have children, they often can’t provide for, that is why they typically need medical assistance, provided free medical care, many immigrants have pre existing health problems, that we must take care of. One hospital in AZ went bankrupt because patients had no insurance, and no money to pay. Immigrant children require schooling which is expensive for tax payers, particularly when the children don’t speak English. Immigrants dilute wages, keeping them low. Immigrants compete for housing, keeping rents high, immigrants often bring diseases. Immigrants contribute to pollution, adding more cars, cresting waste, adding to our over filled landfills. Immigrants make a disproportionate amount of welfare recipients, they require food stamps to feed their families, they require heating assistance, and need subsidized housing. Immigrants contribute considerably to the the high cost of real estate. Immigrants are a disproportionate amount of our prison population. The state of California is financially distressed because of a high immigrant population. Multi-cultured societies lead to more distrust. Foreign students are the main contributor to colleges becoming to expensive for American students, because so many people in other countries want to live here.
You clearly are not familiar with immigration in the United States.

Visas and green cards are not easy to get without the ability to support yourself. Immigrants and children of immigrants account for the highest paid individuals in the US. Especially Asian and Eastern European immigrants. Immigrants and their children also start and run our largest corporations: Apple (Steve Jobs was the son of an immigrant), Microsoft, Amazon (Jeff was raised by his immigrant stepdad), Google, Pepsi, and so on.

Speaking of immigrants, Asian immigrants are not only make more, contribute more to the economy, and pay more taxes than citizens, they are also the most educated and the strongest force in innovation in the US.

Maybe that's the case in your country. However in the US, immigrants are paid well beyond a living wage except for temporary seasonal staff (probably why Trump increased the number of visas for these seasonal folks). Just take a look at the visa approvals.

We're all talking about legal immigrants... You can't be undocumented and be a legal immigrant...

I'm not sure what your point is... It seems you're trying to hijack the thread. Start your own if you want to talk about another irrelevant topic.

This thread is in the legal immigration section. Old Glory is discussing legal immigration.... not immigration of those that are undocumented.

While you and you liberal friends may be so 'liberal' with the term 'refugee', the reality is that 70% of the world's population are not refugees.

Sources cited..?? You clearly didn’t understand my post. This country IS inundated with people from the Third World. These people “refugees” are on subsidies at a disproportionate rate. China and India both have approximately 1.4 billion people, and send their wealthiest and brightest people, they also take the place of a qualified American in our colleges and universities in the name of diversity. The United States used to have the highest performing schools in the world, higher than Europe, higher than Japan. Now, because we are inundated with people from the Third World, people here as refugees, they don’t speak English, that don’t necessarily put in the effort, they drag down our school systems. Our prison system is loaded with people from the developing world, they cannot adapt, they resort to stealing, there resort to breaking the law, any attempt to get ahead.

Indians and Chinese in the US are the wealthiest people in America. The top rated schools in the US are filled with students of Indian and Chinese descent. They're not holding back our education system or feeding off our economy. They're contributing to both.

Take a look at the actual visa applications from these nations. They are for high paying jobs.

The United States simply doesn't produce enough competent people to keep our economy going. Just look at the make up of the students at the top 10 universities. There's a larger representation of Asians, Europeans, and Latin people compared to our general population... simply because they perform better.

Now it's true that these same people historically performed poorly in sports and as a result, college sports teams have historically been better represented by white and black Americans but this is changing as well.

And you're wrong if you think our prisons are filled with Indians and Chinese.

I always curious what the story behind these Caravans, did Mexico open its southern border to allow them to walk north and paying their travel fees? It costs alot to travel this far. I severely doubt these migrants could afford out of their own pockets. I be curious it would had definitely costed more than a plane ticket to the US border or even to Spain itself.

Mexico used to heavily guard their southern border and it was very difficult to sneak through the country for those from Central America. With harsh immigration laws on paper. But now its like the book of Exodus.
