I am going to college. I dont know whether to pick law, business/accounting, computer science or engineering.

Which would be best for a H1B in 4/5 years? (when the economy is better)I know its hard to say, but traditionally what areas are?

I know this isnt the best way to pick a degree, its just one factor i find important

Of those you mention, engineering. Overall, I'd say science (chemistry, bio chemistry etc). Not law, because that is so different in each country.

I am just adding a question to this... . . coz i did not want to waste a whole thread for my Question ...

My question is that..

I have a very low GPA(dont have GPA system in my country) in my undergrads.. .. with backlogs too...

But now i have finished my Masters Degree in US with a GPA of around 3.6 on a 4.0 Scale. .. . I also do have more than 6 months of internship experience in US. Now i am in the process of my job search here and if some company hires me and later while processing my H1B papers will my bad background in
Bachelors Degree affect my H1B Application .. . .

My past is something which i cant do anything about, but now with my good Masters Degree record ... Will i still have a chance of H1B approval ?

Kindly put some light on this .. . . I would really appreciate it.. . .

yes , you will. With a Masters degree , as long as the job you are offered requires a Masters, you will have an excellent chance as there are a number of H1bs specifically for those with Masters degrees. Actually, at the moment there are loads of H1Bs still available for this year as the cap hasn't been reached.
So if you can find and secure a job that even requires a Bachelors you could get an H1b, and as you have a masters too, it might hold you in a good position with prospective employers.

However, as you know, jobs aren't in great supply at the moment, hence the availability of H1bs.
