Got a suspicious mole thingie on my face; need to get it checked out ASAP. My health insurance is the worst ever (United Healthcare), and these are the dermatologists that are in-network. I've tried searching for online reviews, but there are very few, and none is recent, so I would like to hear if anyone can recommend any of these folks:

Alan Westheim -- East Stroudsburg
Robert Thompson -- Bangor
James Wall - Allentown
Advanced Dermatology Associates (a ton of names: Purcell, Ermoloeich, Sosis, Brady, Levin, etc.) -- Allentown

There may be others in Bethlehem; haven't checked there yet.

If no one can recommend any of these guys I'll go back to the phone rep. and get more names.

Thanks so much!!!

I've used Advanced Dermatology as well and was very happy with them. I do not recommend using Pamela Meyer though.

Hmmmm, interesting. I went to Dr. Pamela Meyer at her new office off of Rt. 78 in Hellertown recently and was very impressed. She was very professional and friendly, as was her staff. I have recommended her to several other people who liked her very much also. I will continue to use her as my dermatologist even though I don't live in the area any longer.

In my experience Advanced Dermatology has a VERY long waiting time for a first appointment.

I have been to Dr. Wall and have had no problems there...

I DID NOT like Dr. Meyer nor her staff. This was in her Allentown at the time.Thank goodness I had a second opinion with Advanced Dermatology since Dr. Meyer missed what I initially went for. They actually listened to what I had to say and were Professional and didn't push me out the door. I will never refer any of my closest friends or family to that office because she totally felt my problem didn't need to be taken care of when apparently it did. AMEN!
