Just curious on a few things about the Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown as I'm thinking of attending my first show there:

--Does it get over-packed for shows? Just wondering as I hate venues in which it's too full to enjoy the show. I'm over 21 so not sure if they have two sections and which would be best.
--Do shows attract a rough crowd? What type of neighborhood is the venue located in?
--Is there ample parking near by?
--Is the venue set up proper for bands to sound decent?

Thanks

It does get packed sometimes, and they have a bar area that is sometimes separate from the floor. They close off the bar area for all ages shows.

Really depends on the show for the crowd, but for general local bands playing, it's usually a pretty safe crowd. The neighborhoods nearby aren't all that well regarded, but those few blocks of Hamilton are pretty well traveled.

There is a lot next to it, and it's easy to find street parking.

The sound upstairs isn't bad, I am not a fan of the sound in the basement though.

Thanks for the info and greatly appreciated! I'm thinking of going to the Deftones show on Sept. 12 but have some fears it will be over-packed. Not sure though as I went to see Thrice at the Chameleon in Lancaster a few months ago and it was barely 70% full (which was a huge surprise).
