We live in Bethlehem Township. We love it here. It is close enough to NJ, Philly, NY, and all major highways. We love ours schools and we adore our neighborhood. We live in the Vineyard at Wagner Farms, and our children attend Farmersville School.

My advice would be to stay out of the Allentown School District. It doesn't have a great reputation anymore (years ago it was fantastic). Parkland and East Penn have good reputations. I prefer Northwestern Lehigh in New Tripoli - about 20 minutes north of Allentown.

Just wanted to wish you the best, as we relocated from Minnesota (Maple Grove) 2 years ago.

Since the job is in Allentown I would suggest looking at the area's in any direction except East of the city. You don't want to have to commute from Bethlehem or any area past that towards Allentown. Why bother when the best schools in the Valley are in all the other directions? The obvious first choice to look is in Macungie or Lower Macungie. It's the fastest growing area in the Valley but that means you would meet lots of other newcomers. Lot's of housing choices too. Look for listings in East Penn School district.
