I'm going to be driving from Pottstown to Springfield, MA on Thanksgiving. I don't have the option of leaving on a different day. I was planning on leaving around 1:30pm, and I'd be taking 78 to 87 to Mass Pike. Anyone have any idea what the traffic will be like taking this route?
I've never hit any traffic driving up or back on this route, no matter what time I left (anywhere from 9:30am to 2:30pm). However, I've also never driven up on a holiday. I've tried using the traffic predictions on Google Maps, but unfortunately it's not predicting holiday traffic.
I also think you will have smooth saling, Only place I think you might hit some traffic is going over the Hutson, But not more then a 10min wait at the bridge/toll. There will be a small queue at the Mass Pike Toll plazas (Bring you e-z pass if you have it) will speed you thru.
