I read in the Morning Call a while ago about a possible Target and Lowe's, among other stores in a shopping center in lower macungie, but recently i haven't heard any thing about it. does anyone know if it was approved by the township, or if it is even going to be built? Any info is appreciated!

Found this article about it Lower Macungie Planning Commission Discusses Jaindl Plans - Lower Macungie, PA Patch

".....And before the commission addressed the Jaindl Land Co. development, developer Tim Harrison presented what he called the “60th concept plan” for Hamilton Crossings, a shopping center to be located in the area of Hamilton Boulevard and Krocks Court. Target was the retail anchor Harrison spoke of most, but Loew’s, BJ’s and ShopRite also were mentioned.
The newest evolution of the plans also includes several walkable areas for shoppers in addition to baseball and a softball ball fields and trails to best use green space.
The commissioners unanimously approved a motion stating it would write a letter to the township zoning board recommending the zoners approve numerous variances needed so that building can commence sooner than later.
“Target would like to open in 2012, so we would have to start building this year,” Harrison said.......'

Commercial center proposal for Lower Macungie wins variances. « Lehigh Valley Commercial Real Estate Blog

"
Zoning variances, for a lifestyle center on Krocks Road, have been approved by the Lower Macungie Planning Commission.
Confirmed by The Newton Engineering Group, the anchor stores will be Target, BJ Wholesale Club and ShopRite. This center will occupy two corners of the intersection of Krocks Road and the Route 222 bypass.
Additional permits will need to be obtained from other agencies as well as the land development plan needing approval by the township’s planning commmission. After a final approval from the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners, the $70 million dollar construction project could begin in early September.
We will try to keep updates coming as we become knowledgeable about this project."

I doubt it, since Shop Rite is slotted to go in as well.

Pa is still without a super target, the closest we have are target great lands. IMHO, macungie wouldn't be where target would build the first super target in the state.

Happily it's a target going in and not a wal mart.

Isn't there already a Wal-Mart only a couple of blocks away?

Thrilled about BJs going in there. We do a lot of shopping at BJs and I hate having to drive all the way to Airport Rd from Breinigsville every time.
