I just moved to Bethlehem. You've got a nice town here. I live in the historic district of town, and the sidewalk bars/restaurants/etc. are great. I want more...

Driving around so far has been "ok" for finding similar areas, but I thought I'd just ask you. Where are the similar areas with collections of restaurants/outdoor seating/coffee shops, etc? I'm sure Allentown and other nearby "towns" have cool places as well. Any bragging about especially good microbrew selections and menus that you particularly like to show off to outsiders is encouraged.

Uh-oh, You already live in the coolest town we have and in the best area. Not sure we have anything better! I assume you've also discovered the South side of Bethlehem over by Lehigh U? Main Street Emmaus is nice, but I don't know if their restaurants have outdoor seating. Lots of people go to here - Welcome to The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley which is a faux downtown, but really popular. Hellertown has a nice little downtown, but it's literally two blocks and make Emmaus look hopping.

I hope someone from Easton can chime in. I've been in downtown Easton to the State theater but don't know it well enough to talk about it's restaurants or night life.

Your Welcome Inn on the Southside is the place to be. Mention lc and the surly mustached bartender will nod and smirk approvingly.

I always liked Ripper's pub and The Beef Barron in Bethlehem, and Stahley's on union blvd in Allentown.

When I was a youngster The Talley Ho in Bethlehem was a good time. Haven't been there in years, so I have no idea what it's like today

\ My legendary status also is recognized at the Ho. I have not been there in a while, but during these times when I do enter, they stand at attention!
