Once again the great Blues rock band Tavern Tan will play the Funhouse tomorrow 12/21. Tavern Tan featuring the legendary Doug Ashby who hung out with Lucinda Williams in Nashville and toured with Sue Foley will rock the Funhouse as always with a burst of holiday cheer. Playing some new songs from a soon to be released cd in addition to favorites from their huge catalog they will not disappoint. Plus TT always plays obscure blues covers like SOnny Boy Williamson, classic country tunes from Jerry Lee Lewis, and even songs from the Replacements and REM. It is the place to be on a wednesday. Get hip Lehizzle and come out!

Once again Tavern Tan played to a small but appreciative audience at the Funhouse. As is usually the case more people came in towards the end of the night. They played there upcoming album during the first set. The new tunes were exceptionally charged blues rock numbers with a tinge of Punk. The final song of the set written by drummer Dave Joachim was the real winner. After hearing these incredible new songs we all agreed that we must do whatever it takes to promote this album. TT should be more than just a bloody Valley band. They are the best band in America today! Tavern Tan - Live American Music - Home

I'd never knock someone else's taste in music, but I'm not sure that an "elite hipster" ought to be touting music like this. You'll have your status taken away if the cognoscenti find out.
