I need to find a new place, and pretty quickly. I've never lived in an apartment before--I went from my parents' house to my girlfriend's house. I work near near Kutztown/Reading, but I don't mind the long commute. I've been driving it for over two years, and am fine with it. Plus, I go to school part time at NCC so I'd like to stay within Northampton. I like this area.

Apartment or loft. I'd like to spend no more than $800. If I can't find anything I like in that range, 30% of my monthly pre-tax income would be about $920. So, I'd say that's my absolute max, because I want to put a decent amount of money into savings.

- Do you want or need a yard? No--but local parks/nearby hiking trails would be a plus.

- Do you prefer bustling activity or calm and quiet? Calm.
- What do you want to be closest to? No real preferences--the main things of interest are food and gym. I generally shop at Wegmans and have a gym membership at LA Fitness.
- Do you want to live with people of a similar age, race, religion or sexual preference or do you prefer a diverse neighborhood? No preference.
