Here are some additional suggestions on what to do socially rather than walk around Wegmans. On New Years Eve at the Steel Stacks, Stop Making Sense a Talking Heads cover band featuring some well known LV musicians will be playing. The band features long time LV music veteran Bill Melcher who played with the Crack Babies and more recently of blues rockers Tavern Tan. He's in other bands too. Melcher is a LV renaissance man and a good cook also. I usually do not support cover bands, but these guys are said to put on a great show. Plus the Talking Heads do not get covered much anyway. So, come to Steel Stacks and live a little on New Years Eve.

On New Years Day at Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem there is some sort of Townes Van Sandt tribute. I am not sure who is involved, but a group of musicians will play the music of the late great singer songwriter. Van Sandt is one of the best songwriters of our time and well known in true country music circles. Not the "country" on the Cat. This is real Country. If Townes was still alive a jabronie like Toby Keith would not even be worthy enough to stand 10 feet in front of him.
