I'm looking into going to Lehigh University Fall 08. However, Im looking to live between there and King Of Prussia Mall. maybe closer to Lehigh then King Of Prussia. Is there a good area around here, that would be less then an hour commute from King of Prussia?Im looking for somewhere not too far from the city( no more then 30 miles away) but i would like a house in the country( at least an acre).
also what is the area like around Lehigh University? Is there stuff to do in this area?because i have heard that pennsylvania is more of a retiring state.

Any information would be great!!!

Thanks

Yep. We just sit around in our rockers and take naps... I live about 15 minutes from Lehigh. There are 6 colleges in within 30 minutes of each other and there are many things to choose from. Of course, if you don't live in this area you won't be able to take advantage of them anyway, because you'll be too busy driving to and fro.

Seriously, You're looking at a yucky commute. The area around K of P is terribly congested and the backroads between here (Lehigh Valley) and there are through hills and valleys and small towns, none of them going directly the direction you need. Now, as addicted to the internet as I am, sometimes you have to get an old fashioned map out and use it. Find K of P and Bethlehem and draw rings of 20 miles out from each of them and see what towns you come up with.

From your other posts, I understand that you are talking about your parents buying the house with your father commuting to K of P. Is that right?

Definitely check out the map or visit and see what communities would suit you. It can be challenging to find a "reasonable" home built within the past 10 years depending upon which area you choose. If you narrow it down a little more, we can certainly help.

I totally agree with the KofP commute being awful. I dread driving down there during rush hours and usually reserve my trips to that area to off times only due to the severe congestion.

yes that is right. My dad got a job offer by KING of Prussia.. but my family wants to live north of that because we heard its expensive and were looking for something more in the country. my dad's job is a virtual job however, he will need to commute to work about once a week, and he doesnt want to drive more then one hour. also. i ahve a sister in high school, which my parents are looking for a good school district for her. How are the schools in that area?

Thanks again!
