My neighbor's daughter and her family live in a townhouse in Perkasie. They like it there, and her oldest just started first grade and so far she likes the schools.

Bethlehem is a lovely city with a not so great school system. It's in Northampton county, considered the Lehigh Valley area. Quakertown, Perkasie and Soudertown are all in Bucks County. I believe their school systems are good. You can compare them at Schools, High School, Public Schools, School District, Public High Schools - SchoolMatters I don't think crime is a problem in any of the places. Bethlehem is the only city and would naturally have a higher crime rate.

i live in quakertown and like it here. it is slowly becoming more congested though. we like being close to all the major stores yet have that country living feel. the housing market has something for pretty much everyones budget. my kids are not school age yet, but from what i have heard the schools are decent too.
