Yes, we got rebates from the state and the feds. We had to get a new roof due to age and damage from Sandy so it seemed like a good time to add the panels. We were fortunate that our house was an excellent candidate for solar.

Default Solar panel payback time

The payback time for solar panels has been estimated at: New Jersey (6.5 years), Maryland (6.9 years) but over 10 years in PA. I suspect that the more mountainous areas give PA a longer payback period. Did you estimate your payback period for your work?

Yes, and 10 years is about right.
