Travel is overrated imo. Especially in this very technology inter-connected world.

Was at a wedding there years ago. They have a pretty sizeable banquet room and I recall the food being decent. No idea what the deal is on membership and their website says nothing about it.

The Fullerton fire company is a great place. I am there once a month at least.

That's the issue with these places, they all cry about needing members and having their memberships age-out, but unless you know somebody that's a member, forget about getting in.

There is one of these clubs I can walk to from my house and would gladly join but I don't know anyone that's a member.

I know, I don't get it. My late father was in the Rotary Club and in the Knights of Columbus. He became the President of the Rotary Club and a Grand Knight. These clubs greatly enriched his and my mom's life. They made a lot of friends and had a great social life, plus raised money for charity, and he also got clients from the clubs.

Never been in The Jeffs, but the 540, North End, and the Home have some younger members. The Heights seemed like mostly old men.

Moved to Lancaster, and just back from NH. Local likes local it seemed.
