Hi,
I moved recently to Allentown PA for my work. My husband got job in New York City. We are planning to move to a place which is mid way between Allentown PA and Newyork city.so, that we will be equal distance from both our work places.4 Any information on this is highly appreciated.
Thank you!

It might be better if you figure out what halfway is physically and then ask the forum about the area. Oftentimes when people say NYC, they mean Brooklyn or Long Island. or Newark..... If you do a search on this forum for "commuting to NYC", you'll see past threads about that.

No, I don't. The answer might be Hackettstown. Half way is somewhere between Rt. 80 and Rt 78 in North Central New Jersey. Without more information I, or anyone else, can only give general information.

Timewise, you would be looking at something like Summit, NJ (very nice, but very expensive). You can take a train into NYC in about 45 minutes and drive to Easton in about 45 minutes. From there it's maybe 20-30 minutes to Allentown (assuming some traffic) and however much time it takes to get from Penn St. to your husband's place of work.

Another, less expensive living option is the Transbridge Park and Ride in Clinton, NJ. It's about 1:00 to 1:30 to NYC Port Authority depending on timing and maybe an hour to Allentown.

I'd stay away from any location that requires either of you to use 287 during commuting hours.
