Hi all, my wife and I are planning on moving to this neighborhood. We found a house that we love but before we decide to put an offer we would like to hear a bit about that specific neighborhood. Pros cons?
We are both professionals in the field of classical music and education, currently living in Philadelphia.
Although we are both US citizens we weren’t born in this fantastic country, so any comments about diversity acceptance will be great as well.
Thanks in advance

The Music Guy

That's a pretty large area. What is the elementary school associated with your home?

So 18020 covers Bethlehem Township and Lower Nazareth and is not very diverse (maybe 90-95% white?). But like most of the suburban Lehigh Valley, is growing and people are very friendly.

Pros:
1) Highly rated schools for Nazareth (NASD) and for Bethlehem Township Elementary & Middle Schools
2) Plenty of shopping nearby (Wegmans, Giant, Shop Rite, Walmart, Target, Home Depot)
3) Close to 22, 33 & 78.
4) 10-20 minute drive to downtown Easton or Bethlehem
5) Plenty of franchise & local daycare options
6) There are a lot of new construction houses, so I'd assume a lot of new people are moving there.

Cons compared to other towns in the LV:
1) New construction seems expensive compared to other places in the LV
2) No real "downtown" in those towns, but Nazareth, Bethlehem and Easton have one
3) Most of the restaurants there are pizza/ Italian, so there aren't great options (again, outside of the city downtowns).
