Man, we're not used to having a multitude of stores around us. We were pretty
isolated in our prior state.

We see: Bob'd discount furniture. We went there and their reviews and opinions
span the gamut of good to lousy. We don't need top end stuff (no Craigslist -
can't tow anything and don't have a truck) but we need it to last 5-10 years. I'm
not convinced Bob's anything will last that long. (Just prior to putting our house up
for sale in the other state, we ditched our 18 yr old sleeper sofa. They can last .)

Bob's reminds me of a souped-up Ashley Furniture and I swore I'd never do that
again (all I did was walk in and out of the store - it was enough - ten+ years ago).

Eberts just has links to furniture websites and no pricing and that's annoying.

Raymour and Flannigan (not new to us as they were in NY), had a sectional that
looked nice but it was made by Ashley, so nooooo wayyy.

Yelp, folks.

Answering my own question. Bob's is garbage (to us). I got in touch with a higher-end
store (Eberts) and asked for a lower-end (not Bob's or Ashley's) store. The guy was great.
He recommended a store that totally threw me off - Boscov's. Had it in NY and NC and
couldn't stand them. But they did carry some Lazy Boy (don't want those anymore) and
I knew the quality would be fine if it was indeed true. Out of curiosity, when we left
Boscov's, we walked to Bob's and what we saw looked pretty bad. The reviews were right.

Their prices are fine. Their delivery makes a lot more sense than Bob's. Check it out.
They also have drapery that we never saw in NC and that's where we'll also get our
window coverings. All their prices are great and I even found a pillow I've wanted for
@10 years.

We don't buy furniture very often but I've been considering replacing our sofas with new ones from Costco later this year. I was in BonTon yesterday and thought their sofa's looked good and reasonably priced. They had a sign saying that the manufacturers warranties would still be good even though the store itself is closing.
