The Original Sins possibly the best rock band in LV music history will reunite to play some reunion shows in the region. Started in the mid 80's and led by the charismatic almost preacher like John Terlesky (JT) the Sins caught a lot of attention playing their 60's punk influenced garage rock in South Bethlehem. A national following including tours and mentions in various publications including the once semi relevant Roling Stone happened into the mid 1990's. The 1988 album Big Soul is thought of by many true hipsters as one of the best albums of the 1980's. (go to youtube). One of the members and I will not mention his name, said they would have been huge, but blames the rise of Nirvana and grunge rock as an obstacle to greater success. While this may be true the legacy and greatness of the Sins can never be disputed.

In recent years 2 of the members have been touring musicians for Herman's Hermits along with other projects in California. One member has been based in Florida. John Terlesky has continued on his own here in the Valley with various projects most notably the psychadellic gospel band Brother JT.

The big show will be held at Muhlenberg College on April 13th. I understand they also will play the Funhouse on the 14th. Undoubtedly, the true hipster scenesters will be out in full force for 1 or both shows. hopefully, those of you who missed out during the glory years will attend as well.
